Dentistry in stem cell regeneration and repair


Dental stem cells are easy, appropriate, and affordable to collect, hold promise for a range of very potential therapeutic applications. Stem cells are identical cells, capable of renewing themselves, with the capacity to produce different cell types to regenerate missing tissues and treat various diseases. Preventive care in a dental treatment includes prophylaxis, or the cleaning of the teeth, which removes accumulations of calculus. Oral facial tissues have been identified as a therapeutic target for stem cells with medical interest in dentistry.
