Dr. Jones received his DMD from the University of Louisville (1978) and completed a Residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University (1980). He obtained a Certificate in Dental Health Services Research (1989: Harvard University), EdD in Higher Education (1993: Indiana University), and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (2003: Empresarial University). He completed a United States Congressional Fellowship in 2000, with Senior Indiana Senator Richard Lugar, Washington, DC. He was Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Indiana-Purdue University (1993-2005) and is presently Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, IU School of Dentistry, and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, IU School of Medicine. He has published over 95 articles, book chapters, and research abstracts in the dental, medical, and educational literature and obtained over 6.4 million dollars in educational, service, training, and research grants. He has presented over 140 courses in the United States, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East on a variety of topics related to higher education. He is Editor-in-Chief, Americas, Journal of Oral Health and Dental Management.

Fayad received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the College of Dentistry, Cairo University in 1985. He received his Masters's in Oral Sciences in 1994 and his Ph.D. in 1996 from the University of Buffalo in New York. He had two years of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Eastman Dental Center, the University of Rochester at New Your, and received his certificate of Specialty in Endodontics at the University of Illinois. Currently, he is the Director of Endodontic research and a clinical assistant professor at the UIC College of Dentistry. He devotes his time to teaching, research, and private practice. Dr. Fayad gives numerous presentations nationally and internationally. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Association of Endodontists, Illinois Association of Endodontists, Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, and is A Diplomate of American Boards of Endodontics.

Sim K. Singhrao gained her Ph.D. from Cardiff University and stayed there for further postdoctoral training at Cardiff University School of Medicine and then the School of Dentistry. She is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire exploring the causative relationship between periodontitis and Alzheimer’s disease. She has published more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 4 book chapters. Dr. Singhrao is currently serving as an editorial board member for the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease.
